Eating out

"Wow! This restaurant looks really nice!"
"So neat. Feels like Europe."
"Look at the menu! They have so many things... Spaghetti! I've missed spaghetti..."
"French fries!"
"For once something else than fried rice and chicken!"
"Ah, now I don't know if I want jollof rice like I planned or one of the European dishes..."
"Let's order."

"Yes?"
"I'd like to have spaghetti bolognese."
"We don't have it right now."
"Oh... Oh. Then I don't know... Okay. French fries with grilled chicken?"
"We don't have that, too."
"Ah. Then I'll just take jollof rice."
"We don't have that."

"What do you have?"
"Fried rice and chicken."

The lesson learned: usually you get the most delicious meal not in a restaurant, but in a friend's home, cooked outside by the fire. (Unless they happen to serve okro stew and that's the one dish among all the delicious local foods you happen to hate.) If you miss European foods, go to Kokrobite and pay or ass off - or just miss them and accept it.
